Annual Report

In 2017, I was angry and frustrated, not knowing what I could - or should - be doing to help historically oppressed people suffering even greater oppression under That Guy’s first administration. Today what keeps me pushing forward every day is knowing that thousands of people have joined me in our work to support people’s bodily autonomy, the most fundamental human right there can be.

I recently attended a convening of abortion storytellers, primarily attended by women who were telling their abortion stories. Critically important was that a trans man who has had both abortions and given birth since transitioning was there to talk about his experiences. Taking place in February 2025, almost all the stories told at the gathering described that came before the new administration began further eroding our rights.

As I spoke with storytellers, told my own stories of supporting abortion seekers, and listened, one thing became clear: Elevated Access is a source of hope. Even while the darkness seems to be growing, our partners, our pilots, our staff, and our supporters represent a growing light that spreads to every corner of this land. We provide a light for those who need our help, but also for those who just need to know that there are strangers who are ready to help them if they need it.

Whether abortion or gender-affirming care, government should not be keeping people from receiving life-saving, critical care. You help us get the government out of people’s way. Thank you for being in my community.
